Ever walked around a pond or along a river and wondered what that guy was doing stood up to his waist in freezing cold water?

FlyFishing is a lot more than spending all day camped out on a cold, dreary day! Amongst spending hours outside, in the great outdoors, there are also many numerous other health benefits that you wouldn't of realised. For example, sunlight triggers your brain to release a hormone called serotonin. Low levels of serotonin are linked with a higher risk of depression. Time spent outdoors has also been proven to lower stress and decrease stress.

FlyFishNorth is now offering 'Try it' days for anyone new to the sport. Available for half ( 4hrs ) or Full ( 7hrs ) day, you will learn the basic skills such as, how to cast your fly, how to locate your quarry, what the fish eat and how to catch them. All equipment is provided, all you need to bring along is suitable clothing, sustenance for the session and an open mind!

Based in the North East of England, there are a multitude of locations available to new anglers who are interested in trying their hand in the sport.

What's Included

The half day ( 4hr ) session includes the following -

All tackle included for the day
A detailed run down of the tackle, why it's used and how to set it up.
A basic analysis of what the fish are eating and how we represent that.
A basic analysis of where the fish are likely to be and why.
Casting lesson to learn the basic casts to get you started.
Fishing lesson detailing tricks to catch your quarry and how to land them!
Instruction of how to safely un-hook and release the fish back into the water.

Our 4hr Half Day Lesson is available for only £60!

Please note, the price of the lesson does not include fishery ticket which is usually priced around £15 or a one day Environment Agency Rod License, priced at £6 if required.

Half Day Lessons will be with a potential 3 guests in total however full social distancing will apply.

Extensive Casting lesson to learn the basic casts to get you started.
Detailed Fishing lesson detailing tricks to catch your quarry and how to land them!
Instruction of how to safely un-hook and release the fish back into the water.

Our 7hr Full Day Lesson is available for only £110!

Please note, the price of the lesson does not include fishery ticket which is usually priced around £15 or a one day Environment Agency Rod License, priced at £6 if required.

Full day lessons will be with a potential 2 guests in total however full social distancing will apply.

The full day lessons will also include an additional 1 hr lunch break.
